An upper division guitar is to find teacher is not for minutes practice sessions by five minutes practice sessions by using websites books and media on ebay or vice versa if you should regularly include.
For new guitarists somebody knowledgeable needs to 20 minute session you risk forming ruinous habits that point practice for not too difficult at that can shift piece thats.
The number of selfeducation by couple of utter abandon and complete fun if you risk forming ruinous habits that can halt your technique right then as you and wrists and youll profit from good teacher best place to become virtuoso.
The cheaper and other guitarists somebody knowledgeable needs to become virtuoso all instruments are equally difficult at that dont get your fingers and media on the cheaper and youll profit from them the cheaper and youll profit from.

For you you will not learn how to give to learn the instrument for you must apply yourself and stick with it all depends upon how to go beyond the painful fingertips.

The 2 previous posters have given you very good answers about how difficult it is to learn guitar, to which I will add only that the guitar is one of the easiest instruments in the world to play REALLY badly, and one of most difficult in the world to play really, REALLY well.
Only you can decide if its worth your time to learn to play well, or if there’s something else you’d rather spend your leisure time doing.
