I have an acoustic guitar. I have been learning Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here piece by piece. I was curious if this is a good approach to take in learning how to play. Would I be better off just learning all the chords and notes first, then trying to learn songs? Thanks for your input.

My hubby was telling me about a computer program he has heard about that connects to your guitar and computer. Does anyone know what this program is and do you reccomend it? Thanks!
P.S. I have never been able to learn a musical instrument or even to read music, so I am definately a beginner starting from scratch-any help is appreciated!
