xolove asked: I am currently enrolled in private lessons for the guitar and even though I am practicing, I’m not quite getting to where I want to be at. The reason why I enrolled for lessons was because I wanted to learn to play by the use of chords but my teacher appears to only be teaching me to play with single strings. If I wanted to learn by myself, how should I start? Should I try memorizng as many chords as possible? I only know 7.

rebeka.hayes asked: Im learning by myself, Just by a guitar tabs poster and listening to songs, I can’t afford lessons. Should I try a different way, and I don’t know one thing about the guitar. I’ve had it for like 4 years and just picked it up for litteraly the first time. What should I begin with, and then what’s next?

chicki_love1000 asked: I really just want to learn by watching first so I can sort of get the feeling of playing the guitar. If you know of any good youtube tutorial vids, that would be good also.
Well you can give me song suggestions even if you dont know how I can learn it.
I really just like pop and rock a lot just so you know. Almost anything goes. Thank you!

Ber asked: I can play regular guitar pretty well, but they only have bass guitars in band. I would like to know if that would give me an advantage to being able to learn easier or if that would make it more complicated. I understand different people learn different ways, but how was it for you and what’s your opinion?
One of my friends plays 4 string electric bass, and he said he might teach me. Should I look anything up or do anythig to prepare for learning bass?

Kaitlyn asked: I dont want to learn how to read guitar tabs, I want to learn how to read notes. I have played violin for 8 years and I know how to read notes, so will that help me learn faster guitar notes? I just need to know I guess the basics of the guitar, to see if I really like it or note. Thanks in advance.
